On October 18, 2008, Weston Cook and Terri Pickens were married on the Terrace Lakes Golf Course a few miles above Crouch, Idaho. The Ceremony took place at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The ceremony was very personal and touching and it was an incredible, emotional, experience. Weston’s attendants were his brother, Wayne Cook, and good friend, Aaron Swisher. Terri’s attendants were her dear friends, Elizabeth Donick, Karen Gallagher, Dawn Snapp and Carolyn Biladeau. And of course, Maya, Terri’s 4 ½ year old daughter, had a central part in the ceremony, sharing vows with Weston and Terri.
Weston is a Salmon native, born and raised, until he went off to college in Montana. After moving around a bit, Weston received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah. Terri was born and raised in Pocatello until she went to Los Angeles to get her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California.
In 1995, Weston and Terri met in Salt Lake City, Utah at the gym where Terri was working as a personal trainer. After a short break from school, Terri moved up to Moscow, Idaho for law school. Coincidentally, in 1999, both Weston and Terri moved to Boise, Idaho, where they occasionally ran into each other. However, it wasn’t until the spring of 2006 that the sparks began to fly.
After two and a half years of dating, Weston and Terri bought a cabin in Garden Valley, Idaho, where they held their wedding reception. They will continue to live in Boise, where Weston is a Structure Firefighter for North Ada County Fire & Rescue and Terri is an attorney with Pickens Law, P.A.
