Roberta (Robbie) Smith

 Roberta (Robbie) Fay Smith 62 years of age, of Tower Creek, Idaho, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving husband, children and grandchildren.  She put up a courageous two year battle with cancer and is now at peace.

Roberta grew up in Colorado and graduated with the class of 1967.  She met Vern Smith while in Colorado.  They moved to Salmon and were married on November 3, 1978, and raised their children:  Tammy, Lori, Shawn, Shane and Sadie. 

In 1990 they moved to the Tower Creek homestead where they enjoyed the view of the mountains.

            She was a crafty gal who enjoyed basket weaving, macramé weaving, rummage selling and ebaying.  She loved to play with and tease her grandchildren and would do anything for anyone.  Also amongst her favorite things to do, where viewing the mountains and the wildlife from her back porch.

            She is survived by husband Vern Smith of Tower Creek, Idaho, daughters: Tammy Huston and Sadie (Mike) Sherman of Salmon, Idaho; sons; Shawn (Janelle) Huston and Shane (Jenni) Huston all of Nampa, Idaho; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

            She was preceded in death by daughter Lori Huston, mother Beth Dillon, father Tom Grenfell and sister Joyce Artemis.

            Graveside services will be held by Pastor Ty Orr on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Salmon Cemetery. Viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the Jones & Casey Funeral Home.
