COUNCIL COMMITTEES
The purpose of the various council committees is to research information on topics brought before them and make findings available to the full City Council as an aid towards making informed policy decisions. Each committee includes city staff as well as council members and interested citizens.
Citizen complaints or questions are often referred to committees appropriate to the concerns. The committee discusses the issue and then makes recommendations to the full City Council. Council committees include; the Finance Committee, the Parks and Recreation Committee, the Public Works Committee, the Sacajawea Committee and the newly established Public Safety Committee.
