States move to pull plug on tanning parlors for teens

Lawmakers in Idaho and 17 other states are following the lead of California as they consider new restrictions on the use of tanning beds by teenagers to stem rising rates of melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer.

Tuesday, February 7th the “Tweens” Class of the Episcopal Church School visited the local Food Bank at Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership. They presented Carla Mulkey with a check for $1400 to be used to buy food for the food bank

Spinning and Weaving

The ancient arts of spinning, weaving, and felt making are still being practiced in Salmon, Idaho. A group known as the Fiber Guild meets one Saturday a month to work on individual projects. You may have seen them last summer at the Farmer’s Market or Heritage days at the Sacajawea Center.
