Shrove Tuesdy Pancake Supper set for February 21

The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer is inviting the public to its pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday, February 21, 5:30 to 7:30 PM, at the Parish Hall.

Spinning and Weaving

The ancient arts of spinning, weaving, and felt making are still being practiced in Salmon, Idaho. A group known as the Fiber Guild meets one Saturday a month to work on individual projects. You may have seen them last summer at the Farmer’s Market or Heritage days at the Sacajawea Center.

Forest Service updates on Upper North Fork status

The Lemhi County Forest Restoration Group is meeting Tues, Feb 7 at the Salmon-Challis National Forest Supervisor’s Office conference room from 3 – 6 p.m. The Forest Restoration Group has invited the Salmon-Challis to provide an update on the Upper North Fork ecosystem restoration project.

The Good Lovelies coming to Salmon

Join the Salmon Arts Council for a Dancin’ Good Time. Funny and upbeat, with just a pinch of sass, the Good Lovelies‘ textbook three-part harmonies, constant instrument swapping and witty on-stage banter have enlivened the folk music landscape since they joined forces in 2006 for their first show at Toronto’s funky Gladstone Hotel.

Library Winter Reading Program

The second book in the Salmon Library Let’s Talk About It Reading and Discussion Program is Woman Hollering Creek, by Susan Cisneros. The book is a collection of short vignettes that capture moments in the vibrant and varied life on both sides of the Mexican border.
