On January 22, a Hailey-area homeowner killed a wolf that had been observed near his house for at least two days and was acting sick or injured. Immediately after killing the wolf, the homeowner notified Idaho Fish and Game.

The Lemhi County Forest Restoration Group is meeting Tues, Feb 7 at the Salmon-Challis National Forest Supervisor’s Office conference room from 3 – 6 p.m. The Forest Restoration Group has invited the Salmon-Challis to provide an update on the Upper North Fork ecosystem restoration project.

The Salmon-Challis National Forest is planning to fill a temporary, Office Automation position in Salmon, Idaho. This position is intermittent (call when needed). Some of the duties for this position would be to greet walk-in customers, collect money, and answer and route phone calls. Applicant must possess a valid state driver’s license and pass a background investigation.
