Winter School begins Jan 3

hi County Extension Office and Lemhi County Cattle and Horse Growers Association have teamed up to bring the everyone the Annual Cattlemen’s Winter School beginning on January 3. There will be six weeks of classes held on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge. All classes are free and open to the public.

Historical Society Receives State’s Highest Museum Honor

The Lemhi County Historical Society in Salmon will receive the 2011Sister Alfreda Elsensohn Award for Outstanding Service. The Award will be presented on Tuesday, January 3 rd at 2:00 p.m. at the Lemhi County Historical Museum at 210 Main Street in Salmon. Celebratory refreshments will be served.

Idaho Power Wraps Up Three-Year Project To Install “Smart Meters”

BOISE, IDAHO, Dec. 21, 2011 – Idaho Power has completed the installation of approximately 500,000 “smart” electric meters for customers throughout its service area, wrapping up a three-year project that enables customers to have more information about their energy use.
